Should I... *you can move this* « Thread Started on Oct 5, 2006, 9:28pm »
What do you think? Should I stick it out this year or go back to CS (my old school)? My dad says it's not really working, my mom says it'd be fabulous if I went back ("It really clears up my work schedule"), I'm super lonely (no offense, guys. I mean actual social interaction), CS was almost bawling because I left, Livs is missing me (or so she says), and I'm working my butt off. So to speak... and I'm sitting all day, my muscles are yearning for daily P.E. (I hated it last year...T_T). It's not the best situation. When I say I'm working my butt off, I mean emotionally (really.. try missing everyone and crying a lot. It's physically and emotionally tiring) and psychologically (academic) (man so many parentheses!).
I know that by the description above, you'll say that I should definitely go back. But, homeschooling has up sides too: Not waking up at like seven in the morning, I'm learning things once in a while, and I get out much sooner. But, that's not necissarily a good thing... Gah.
Please, I'm hurting. Give me wordly advice from the best people on Earth (you!).

Well you sound utterly miserable in your current situation. And you're a social butterfly so you need to be surrounded by people. I'd say go back, if you're so miserable. To you, going to a school is much more enjoyable, so go for it. ^_^

Heh...... Okay now: Should I go back this year, right now, or wait a little bit, see if it gets better? I'm probably going to go there and help out, but I don't know....

Yes, but I like the hours and I -am- going to be at the school sometimes, volunteering. I don't know if that would be enough, though...

haha ^^ well... school's just... better. I can't really say anything more than that. Home schooling ruined my cousins entire lives, but that's just one instance. So, in my personal opinion, please go back to school, where people are trained to teach you, where you have people your age, and where you can learn to live and contribute to the proud society we uphold today.

lol!! Well I can see what you guys are saying, but I am going to do volunteering at my old school, and I don't know if that will be great and all will be good, but... I like homeschooling to some extent.

Well I like being homeschooled to, but Navi, who shall remain nameless, seems to think it's depriving me of an "education" whatever that is. You don't wann end up like me, do ya? No. You should get this thing called an "education" and go back to a real school with...what are they called?...oh yeah! "Real people"! ^^

Ummm... I'm pretty sure that when you say someone's name they aren't exactly nameless...
And I don't know about volunteering being boring. I'd do it in the library (...that didn't come out right...), and in my old teacher's classroom. The library sounds fun- I really love reading and I've already read most of the books in the school library (I'm workin on the public one), so I can recommend books, I'd file and stuff (I am freakishly good at that... >.> <.<) And I gotta go to Costco (that place scares me) so bye.

Wow you made sense up until "and I gotta go to Costco" I was like WTF? Wait- what? And had to re-read it (even though it should've made sense... it does make sense right? That wasn't as random as I thought? I'm just sleepy? Stupid?) lol well whatever that was out of the blue and GO TO SCHOOL YOU HOBO!!!

LOL!! Costco is this huge warehouse that has basically everything (and I mean EVERYTHING) in it.. It's maybe... 2 acres inside. Maybe 3... yeah more like 3. And it scares me. And, just like the acreage inside, everything comes in value packs. Well, "value pack" in Costco language means "lifetime supply" in my language, but that's just me. So the regular stuff... We split up to get it done faster and I went to get a box of Ritz and the smallest pack they had was a box of four regular boxes of Ritz. But anyway....
YOU STILL AREN'T GETTING MY POINT!! I want to at least try volunteering, because then I'd be around lots of kids and still get the education of a private school, plus some. Is that okay? If it doesn't work I promise I'll go back fulltime.
